The Queen City is calling your name! How does working there sound?
Luckily for you, as a Travel Nurse it is up to you where you choose to work. This fun-filled city has a long list of things to do! We are going to walk you through a few of the best places that are a must-visit while in Cincinnati.
Starting Out
First you are going to want to decide how you will get around. The good news is that you have options, A LOT of them. Cincinnati has Uber/Lyft, bus service, streetcars, rental cars, electric scooters, bike shares, riverboats and more. With all of that being said, you can also transport yourself if you prefer! It is good to plan this ahead of time, although the options will always be there if you would like to switch it up.
To get you familiar with the city, it’s good to know the different areas you can explore.
There is: Downtown/The Banks (Riverfront), Mount Adams, Over-the-Rhine, Hyde Park, Oakley. Although this is just a brief list, these are most likely to be the major attractions that you hear about.
Now let’s get into it!

Where to eat? Easy. Here are some of the dining options that we recommend.
- Jeff Ruby’s The Precinct
- Nada

Even if you don’t find yourself at a game, individuals are always cheering for their teams around the city on game day.
Cincinnati is also home to museums for everyone. We recommend visiting the American Sign Museum, Cincinnati Art Museum and the Cincinnati Union Terminal.
If you are looking to enjoy some of Cincinnati’s roots, check out one of the craft breweries! The city has breweries scattered throughout, there are almost too many to choose from. They are generally very casual, hang-out spots.
