Meet Diego: Originally from sunny Miami, Diego is a proud father of three and has been married to the love of his life for 23 years. His decision to pursue travel healthcare came from a deep sense of responsibility and love for his family. “As the leader of my family, it is my job to provide for my loved ones, and traveling gave me the financial means to do just that,” Diego shared.
A Bridge Between Cultures: One of the most rewarding parts of Diego’s journey has been the ability to bring his culture to new communities. As a bilingual healthcare professional, Diego has become a vital bridge between English and Spanish-speaking patients—providing compassionate, clear communication that makes all the difference. “I enjoy telling my coworkers where I come from and introducing them to foods they’ve never heard of,” he said. “Traveling has helped me connect with people I wouldn’t have otherwise met, and they’ve impacted my life in ways I’ll never forget.”
His First Assignment—And a Warm Welcome in the Snow: Diego’s current (and first!) assignment in Buffalo has been a heartwarming experience—despite the chilly weather. Coming from Florida, winter activities were completely new to him, but he’s embraced the snow with open arms. More importantly, he’s felt welcomed and supported by his new team. “The coworkers have been very accommodating and have become my friends. I’m so appreciative of how everyone accepted me and helped me in a new place.”
